Position Summary:
The New York County District Attorney's Office (DANY) has an immediate opening for a Court Part Specialist in its Case Management Services (CMS) Unit. In this position the Court Part Specialist is responsible for providing clerical support to DANY’s Case Management Services Unit. Please note: all potential applicants should be aware that this is an evening position, requiring work during evening hours, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Perform real time data entry using arraignment database system.
  • Perform clerical and related tasks.
  • Collate and file material and search files for relevant material.
  • Check records for accuracy of information and conformity with established policy.
  • Perform related tasks as assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications:
  • Ability to work evenings, including weekends and holidays.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Access.
  • Ability to update and edit existing proprietary databases.
  • Ability to work with frequent interruptions and adapt to changes in workflow.
  • Ability to follow directions and apply proper policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Strong attention to detail and high concern for data accuracy.
  • Must be able to perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment, self-motivated, and able to multi-task.
  • Ability to interact with all levels of staff, law enforcement representatives, and outside visitors.
  • Previous clerical experience preferred.
Educational Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Some college credits a plus.
Preferred Requirements:
  • Ability to work overtime on short notice.

Commitment:

  • One (1) year commitment to hiring bureau.
