This position will provide support of Leviton’s EVSE (Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment) product line. This role executes tactical steps in new product launch activities, conducts sustaining product tasks in support of Product Manager(s) and provides technical support of sales. This position will also serve as the internal and external expert for assigned products, working directly with vendors and/or manufacturing facilities as well as the sales channel and key customers to promote Leviton and its associated product solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Will be the technical “go-to” person for the EVSE product category in support of systems needs and applications
  • Conduct market, technology, and competitive assessments
  • Review and analysis of applicable federal and state incentive programs for Leviton participation
  • Assist with establishing product vision: defining the product roadmap, and what additional products or product enhancements are needed
  • Examine and analyze product line performance such as profitability, forecasting and inventory levels etc. and provide recommendations to management
  • Develop of Business Proposals
  • Capable of managing all applicable deliverables for Phase/Gate product development process
  • Assist with establishing product pricing and assessing product costs and gross margins
  • Coordinate product launches
  • Recommend marketing materials and assist with their development
  • Create product forecasts and coordinate to establish appropriate inventory levels with Operations
  • Coordinate support function activities to sustain product line
  • Support of Sales channels as needed to make assigned product lines successful
  • Assist in the development of appropriate training materials for the value chain
  • Manage all web related activities for assigned product lines
  • Additional duties as assigned by Supervisor/Director

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering or related technical/business field
  • Background in automotive industry a plus
  • 3+ years of combined Engineering, Marketing, Operations or Product Management related experience associated with new product development and introduction

Skills & Abilities

  • Must have working knowledge of electric vehicles including automotive manufacturers and terminology

  • Must possess strong communication skills – verbal, written, presentation

  • Must have the ability to cultivate and maintain relationships with customers that lead to the sale of assigned products

  • Must have the ability to organize and manage “ad-hoc” teams to support the development of business opportunities

  • Must be proficient in MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word

  • Must be able to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited information exists

  • Must have the ability to work in a highly confidential work environment; and the ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form

  • Strong mathematically, analytical and computer skills

  • Knowledge of product design capabilities, and commercial manufacturing processes and operations

  • Working knowledge of Oracle or related platforms

Travel

  • Up to 20% travel
