Annual salary range: $130,000 - $300,000
Responsibilities:
· Develop and execute technical strategies for complex and ambiguous projects, overcoming obstacles and leveraging organizational influence to achieve success.
· Design and implement infrastructure solutions, including deploying new cloud resources such as microservices, queues, caches, and database clusters, while adhering to best practices.
· Conduct code reviews and evaluate design proposals to ensure development of high-quality software systems and adherence to technical standards.
· Utilize observability tools like logging, profilers, and distributed tracing to diagnose and resolve bugs or performance issues in production systems.
· Mentor and teach other engineers, fostering a culture of ownership, technical excellence, and continuous improvement within the team.
Job Requirements:
A bachelor’s degree, or its foreign equivalent, in computer science, software engineering, or a related field, plus 2 years of experience as a software engineer, software developer, or in a related role/occupation. In addition, the required prior experience must include:
· 2 years of experience building and deploying scalable product features, either full-stack or backend-leaning.
· 2 years of experience designing and implementing distributed systems in production environments.
· 2 years of experience with performance optimization for APIs or backend services.
· 2 years of experience working with relational databases, including schema design and query optimization.
· 2 years of experience with at least one search or related data storage technology, such as Elasticsearch or OpenSearch.
