Regeneron Pharmaceuticals, Inc. seeks an Assoc Scientist (Tarrytown, NY) to assist in next gen sequencing (NGS) prjcts for our pharma R&D. Requires a Bach degree in Biology, Molecular Biology, Immunology, Biological Sciences, or rltd and 3 yrs of NGS sequencing exp. Must have exp with: Performing library prep using custom & commercial protocols; Basic molecular biology techniques, DNA/RNA quantification tchnlgs (Qubit & Tapestation), RT-PCR & PCR; Sequence NGS library on Illumina tchnlgy using 2x 300 kit (Miseq); Maintaining Miseq wash every wk; Interpretating & rvwng NGS sequencing data using SAV file; Operating automated liquid hndlng systm (Hamilton STARlet, Tecan & similar) for the library prep; Completing high throughput sample preprtns in 5 days; Performing exprmnts to optimize NGS protocol & establsh automation on NGS library preprtn; Maintaining records & keeping up databases (LIMS); & Providing presentations & verbal update to grp meeting biweekly & larger grp monthly.
