Within our plants around the world, we’re constantly developing new technologies and processes to further increase our efficiency. That means we’re continually seeking diligent, determined performers who think outside the box to help us find better and more efficient ways to manufacture our vehicles.
What you’ll be able to do:
In this key position, you will help ensure the highest level of safety in our manufacturing processes as you perform safety inspections using such tools as OHSIM, MSS, and SPRB. You will drive safety improvements by conducting critical safety talks as well as by identifying and immediately correcting safety hazards and unsafe practices. You will:
  • Complete 100% of mandated FAS08 PMs
  • Create and implement a focused maintenance program designed to reduce scrap and ensure reliability of error-proofing devices
  • Maintain equipment, automation, and tooling in a state of compliance with specifications, fit, form, and contamination standards
  • Lead skilled trades/maintenance personnel to evaluate controls and mechanical requirements for maintaining and improving production yields, throughput, and up time
  • Analyze equipment performance and work to improve efficiencies
  • Use data (FIS, POSMON, PAARS, Maximo, etc.) to prioritize efforts and achieve 100% flow
  • Meet FTT, inventory, cost, scrap, supply, and tooling expense targets
  • Optimize labor utilization
  • Maintain a versatility matrix that ensures technical coverage at all times
  • Ability to work any shift as well as work independently with little supervision
  • Teach maintenance troubleshooting techniques
  • Participate in time & data management meetings
  • Supervise inspection and preventive maintenance schedules
  • Use Maximo for Maintenance (MFM) to document all maintenance activities
  • Control and monitor oil, water, and energy usage
  • Manage and maintain support systems
The minimum requirements we seek:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • A minimum of one years of maintenance troubleshooting experience in a manufacturing environment
  • One or more years of Microsoft Office experience

Our preferred requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering
  • Three or more years of automotive experience
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles
  • Ability to delegate work to unionized workforce while holding employees accountable for safety, quality and throughput
  • Excellent organizational, multi-tasking, administrative, problem-solving and conflict management skills
  • Previous robotics and conveyor system experience
  • Understanding of constraint management principles
  • Previous safety and quality experience
  • Proven background managing a unionized work force
  • Working knowledge of PLC logic and controls
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, teambuilding, and communication skills
