2021 Americas IBCM Summer Analyst - New York Latin America
at Credit Suisse
Credit Suisse's Latin America Group covers clients throughout South America, Central America and the Caribbean. The Group is based in New York and has offices in Bogota, Buenos Aires, Lima, Santiago, Mexico City, Monterrey and Sao Paulo, with close to 80 bankers contributing their product and country expertise. As the region's premier M&A, Corporate Debt and Equity advisor, the group provides specialized and innovative services to regional and multinational clients. The team is exposed to all industries and products, maintaining an even balance between local and cross-border deals that generate a variety of transactions from multi-billion dollar transactions with international corporations to divestitures of local companies.
The Summer Analyst Program is a 9-week program for rising college seniors that provides exceptional exposure to business and the financial services industry. Whether you're working alongside a Full-Time Analyst or staffed as the only Analyst on a deal team, our summer program gives you the tools you'll need to jump start your career in finance and Investment Banking. Responsibilities may include analyzing companies using financial modeling and valuation techniques, examining the impact of a transaction on a client's capital structure and analyzing the consequences of a merger or acquisition.
Summer Analysts will be placed directly into an industry or product group. As a summer program participant, you will have the opportunity to work on deals in your group, gain hands-on experience and work on all aspects of advising and transacting business for our clients. Summer Analysts receive formal feedback at the mid and end points of the summer, and offers are made after the program to individuals identified as exceptional performers.
You will attend a one day company orientation followed by a week of training and then start work in your group for the summer, receiving further training while on the job. Your learning experience will continue through the summer speaker series, where you'll hear from senior line representatives across the divisions. To help you determine your strengths and plan your career, Analysts are paired with mentors within Investment Banking, who provide advice and mentorship throughout the summer. You will also participate in networking events and firm-wide events that will help ensure that you are exposed to all the areas within the bank and understand the big picture of a global investment bank. The summer is built to have a balance of work, social events and networking opportunities.
To apply for this summer analyst role, you are between your junior and senior years at a four-year college or university (graduating in December 2021 or May/June 2022). Credit Suisse is well- known for the diversity of its employees, but seeks applicants with a common set of abilities – highly motivated and creative individuals who have demonstrated academic achievement, and have the ability to work independently and as a member of a team. We'll be looking at your potential, your ability, your academic background and your extra-curricular activities. We're looking to build future leaders who add fresh perspectives to our business.
Whatever your background, you'll need to be
