Job Summary:

The Policy & Procedures Control Manager collaborates with Depositor Services team members to create, amend and maintain all written policies (new or existing), procedures, user manuals and other supporting documentation to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency, in support of key department initiatives. The incumbent in this position ensures that all documentation is in compliance with applicable regulations and standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Produce policy and procedure documents by conducting process owner interviews, in addition to using research utilities and search engines (Google) and workflow documentation tools (Microsoft Visio).
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders (Legal & Compliance, Depositor Services staff) to ensure that policies and procedures address key regulatory and/or consumer compliance requirements.
  • Partner with Depositor Services process owners to expand control testing initiatives that align with Enterprise Risk Management (ERM), Internal Audit and Compliance department expectations.
  • Update policies and procedures and user guides as deemed necessary.
  • Assemble and maintain a catalog/inventory of information reports developed by department process owners in order to support their operational responsibilities; determine veracity of reports and whether or not they enhance operational control and efficiency.
  • Serve as a liaison between Depositor Services management team and other departments within Bank (Internal Audit, ERM, Legal), as well as external regulators.

Skills, Education and Experience:

  • BA/BS Degree required.
  • 3-5 years of work experience in a financial services organization or comparable field.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrate working knowledge of organizational strategies and culture, as well as basic economic and business concepts.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Capable of multi-tasking.
  • Proven track record in delivering value-added results while working under pressure and tight deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Advanced proficiency with MS Office Suite and other necessary Bank systems.
  • Must demonstrate sound judgement, adhere to professional standards and exercise strict confidentiality in matters requiring discretion.
